to begin at the beginning

"It's a poor sort of memory that only works backwards," quoth Mr. Lewis Carroll... and so we begin by looking forward... and, in fact, we plan never to look back.

The only possible initial theme for this little virgin blog is... as if you hadn't guessed... tomorrow.

You may also have guessed that this Themer of the Future is here to assist in planning, organizing, fine-tuning, tweaking, enhancing, and inspiring your already crafted, cared-for, semi-fruitful life. You may have also guessed that she is a fan of ellipses. Apologies in advance. We all have our flaws. Such is that imperfect and vulnerable aspect of life. In my humble opinion, vulnerability is beautiful.

But back to you... and your life... and your future... or at least tomorrow... because I recognize how much is on your plate, flowing through your IPhone, washing over you on the commute to work, impelling your life forward... though sometimes without the net of a comforting structure. I also recognize that I just transitioned to the first person. I hope that doesn't bother you too much. We will strive for many things as we theme the tomorrows of our tomorrow, but consistency is not one of them.

And so, I offer the most minor of services. To be your helpful anticipator, the red carpet unfolding ahead of you to soften the blow of life's hard knocks, your invaluable guide to the completely trifling... in short, I offer to make your life easier. To think together about some kind of tomorrow... about many kinds of tomorrows. I don't know much, but I am pretty sure tomorrow will keep coming.

...because who wants to live in the present...

...because wouldn't life be so much easier if every day had a theme.

...because if we could know one thing in life before it happened, we would all feel pretty darn smart.... and maybe reassured.

The ever wise and illustrious Eminem once said, "The truth is that you don't know what is going to happen tomorrow." Well maybe now, you know at least a piece...
